Alignment: An Iyengar-inspired style class that focuses on refining postures with attention to detail. Props, such as blocks, belts and chairs, are used to allow the body to experience the postures more deeply and postures are held longer to build strength and stamina. If a deep sweat is not your thing or if you need a slower paced class, you will love this class.
Beginner Basics: Very Beginner class for those new to yoga. Especially great for those who are wanting a slower pace or are needing to learn therapeutic modifications to rehabilitate from injuries or physical issues.
Core Crunch: Strengthen your abs and your back muscles in this rocking fun class, with a playful mix of strength-building yoga and core intensive pilates exercises, so important for good posture and a pain-free spine. Yes, we make core work fun!
Flow I: Learn the basics of posture and breath, connecting breath with movement helps you cultivate mindfulness, a deeper awareness of breath, more strength, stamina, balance and flexibility. Basic Sun Salutations, the foundation of Flow, are taught. Beginner friendly instructions, yet challenges for experienced students are also offered.
Flow II: Building on the Sun Salutation foundations of Flow I, this is a fun and challenging Flow class, building strength, stamina and melting you into greater flexibility. More advanced postures are introduced, often with a class theme or goal pose, along with fun music. Some familiarity with basic postures is highly recommended.
Power Hour: We turn up the heat on a traditional Vinyasa style class with a strength building focus. Get ready to challenge yourself, sweat, and crank up the power. Postures will be advanced, intermediate, and beginner friendly, but the class will be heated to 85-90 to facilitate strength building, stretching, and detox. Great class for anyone who needs to detox, sweat, and get a great workout!
Primary Series: The Ashtanga Primary Series is the original flow practice that inspired the whole Vinyasa (Flow) practice of yoga. In this class you will learn the classic sequence so that you can practice it on your own. It is ultimately a challenging practice but beginner modifications will be given. Vigorous, yet meditative, the music is your own breath. Practitioners of this style find it deeply meditative.
Relaxation: The invitation in the classic Yoga Sutra to know one’s True Self through withdrawal of the senses is explored in this class. It begins with simple stress-relieving movement connecting with the breath. Then an inviting mix of Pranayama (healing breath practice), meditation, guided imagery and “advanced lying around”, where we allow our minds and bodies to experience a variety of postures while relaxing deeply.
Sculpt: Challenge your limitations, build strength and stamina, and deeply detox in this fun flow class! The room is heated to 85-90 and the music rocks! Sculpt yoga burns extra calories, builds healthy bone density, tones muscles and builds core. Its a true total body workout incorporating plyometrics, cardio and weightlifting. Connecting the movements to the breath makes this combo a strength building and healing practice from the inside out.
Slow Flow/ Deep Stretch: Blend powerful basic postures and detoxifying deep stretches to melt away discomfort and tension in the areas of hamstrings, hips, low back, and shoulders. Postures are held for 10 or more breaths to encourage muscular release and opening. This class is wonderful for both advanced yogis looking to find more opening in the body, and new yogis working to increase flexibility, stamina, or strength.
Zumba- a latin dance party, designed to get you in shape while having a great time. Taught by the beautiful and inspiring Raquel. Zumba is not included in the yoga packages, but is only $5 at the door.
